Ball closure rings are super versatile and extremely popular when it comes to body piercing jewellery. This widely applicable jewellery type is also known by many different names and abbreviations but they are ultimately all the same thing!
BCR, captive bead rings or CBR, captive hoops, or captive ball rings are all ball closure rings! Simply put, these pieces of jewellery consist of a ring with a small opening that holds a ball or ornate attachment that is typically held in place with dimples and the pressure from the hoop.
BCRs come in virtually endless combinations of gauge size, ring size and ball size meaning they can be worn in almost any piercing!
