Every piece here is sized for the piercing it is made for, so you can shop by where it sits rather than guessing at bar lengths and ring diameters.

Types of ear piercings

Ear piercings split into two groups. Lobe piercings run through soft tissue and take almost any earring. Cartilage piercings run through the firmer parts of the ear and need body jewellery: helix, forward helix, flat, conch, daith, tragus, anti-tragus, rook, snug and industrial. Each has its own page with hoops, studs and bars cut to the right size.

Cartilage earrings and jewellery

Cartilage earrings are nearly all 1.2mm (16g), with a few front-of-ear placements such as the forward helix and tragus taking 1mm (18g). Flat back studs are the usual choice for healing and for stacking, because the disc sits flush against the back of the ear. Hoops, hinged clickers and seamless rings come in once a piercing has settled. Materials are implant grade ASTM F-136 titanium and solid 14k gold.

Building an ear stack

Start with the helix, then add a flat, conch or tragus and keep the tops stepping down in size towards the top of the ear. Threaded and threadless tops swap between bars, so one set of posts covers a whole stack.
