Good questions

What's dead stretching?

You wear the next size up once your current jewellery feels loose. No tapers, no forcing it. It's the pain-free way to stretch and the method we build our kits around.

When can I start?

Give a new lobe piercing at least 4 to 6 months first. Most piercers pierce at 1mm (18g) or 1.2mm (16g), and 1.6mm (14g) is the usual first stretch.

How long should I wait between sizes?

Our guide recommends at least 2 months between stretches, and some sizes take longer. Never skip a size. If it doesn't feel ready, wait.

Will my ears go back?

Sometimes, but it's never guaranteed, so treat any stretch as permanent. Our guide covers what makes a difference.

What should I wear in a fresh stretch?

Single flare in a non-porous material: surgical steel, titanium or glass. Save wood, stone, bone and horn for healed lobes.

What if it's not right?

Send sealed items back within 14 days. If something's faulty or wrong, tell us and we'll sort it, even if you've opened it. It's all in The Plug Promise, and your legal rights aren't affected.
