Sterling silver nose rings and hoops
Silver nose hoops come as seamless rings and hinged clickers at 6mm, 8mm and 10mm diameter. An 8mm hoop sits snug on most nostrils; 6mm is for a piercing close to the edge of the nose and 10mm for a looser, more visible ring. Plain silver hoops are the everyday choice, with twisted, beaded and gem-set silver rings for something more decorative.
Silver nose studs
Sterling silver nose studs come in three fittings. L-shaped studs slide in and hold with the bend. Screw nose studs twist in and stay put through sleep and sport. Nose bones push straight in and are the quickest to change. Tops range from a 1.5mm ball to gems and small shapes.
Sizing and when to wear silver
Nostril piercings are 0.8mm (20g) or 1mm (18g). Sterling silver is for fully healed piercings only; a fresh nostril piercing should stay in implant grade titanium until it has settled.
