Snake bites jewellery for paired lip piercings, one on each side of the bottom lip. Everything here is chosen to be worn as a matching pair, so you can buy two of the same stud or ring and know they will sit level.
Snake bite studs and rings
Snake bites are usually started with flat back labret studs at 8mm to 10mm, then downsized to 8mm once healed. Once settled, many people switch to lip rings: hinged clickers, seamless rings or horseshoe circular barbells at 8mm to 10mm diameter. Spikes and cones give the classic look; gems and opals soften it.
Spider bites, angel bites and angel fangs
Spider bites are two piercings close together on one side of the bottom lip and take the same studs and small rings. Angel bites sit on the top lip, one each side, and take labret studs. Angel fangs are a pair of vertical piercings through the top lip and take short curved barbells, like a double jestrum.
Sizing and materials
Lip piercings are 1.2mm (16g) as standard, with some at 1.6mm (14g). Jewellery is implant grade ASTM F-136 titanium or solid 14k gold.
