Ear tunnels vs plugs - what's the difference?
A plug is solid and fills the lobe completely, giving a clean, finished look. A tunnel is hollow, so you can see straight through the piercing, which is why flesh tunnels are the go-to for anyone who wants to show off the stretch itself. Most people end up with both in their collection and swap depending on the day.
Fittings: single flare, double flare and screw fit
Single flare plugs and tunnels have one lip and secure with an O-ring, so they're the easiest to change and the kindest to a lobe that's still settling. Double flare has a lip at each end and stays put on its own, but needs a healed, fully-stretched lobe to fit through. Screw-fit tunnels come apart and reassemble in the ear, which makes them the simplest option at larger sizes.

Choose 316L surgical steel and titanium for everyday wear and easy cleaning, glass for a lightweight, non-porous finish that's ideal for fresh stretches, and wood, horn and stone for a natural, breathable feel that sits warm in the ear. Silicone tunnels flex, which makes them a comfortable choice for sleeping and long shifts. Every material we stock is body-safe and suitable for healed lobes.
