Septum piercing jewellery that gets noticed. The septum sits dead centre of the face, so the ring you choose is the first thing people see: a slim seamless hoop that disappears until you smile, a gemstone clicker that catches the light, or a chunky brass tusk that makes a statement. Every septum ring is sized to sit snug against the tip of the nose, in 1.2mm and 1.6mm gauges and 6mm to 10mm diameters.
Septum rings and septum clickers
Septum clickers are the easy option: a hinged section swings open, the ring slips through, and it clicks shut with nothing to lose. They carry the most detail too, from plain titanium bars to opal, crystal and ornate filigree fronts. Seamless septum rings twist open and give the cleanest look, horseshoe circular barbells let you flip the ring up out of sight, and ball closure rings are the classic. All of them come in polished titanium, gold PVD, black PVD and our Italian brass.
Gold septum rings and small septum rings
A gold septum ring warms the whole face, and ours are gold PVD over implant grade titanium so the colour stays put and the metal stays nickel free. For a small septum piercing look, go for a 6mm or 8mm ring at 1.2mm; it tucks up under the nose and reads as a fine line of gold or silver rather than a hoop.
What gauge is a septum piercing?
Most septum piercings are 1.6mm (14g) or 1.2mm (16g), and most people wear an 8mm diameter, with 10mm for a looser hang and 6mm for a tight, tucked look. If you are unsure, measure the ring you have now. Fresh septum piercings take six to eight weeks before the first change, and a horseshoe fitted by your piercer is the usual starting point; once healed, switch to a clicker or seamless ring in the same gauge.
Stretched septum and fake septum rings
Stretched septums get their own shapes: pinchers, tusks and spirals in glass, horn, bone and brass from 2mm upwards. Not ready to commit? Our fake septum rings clip onto the septum with no piercing at all, so you can try the look tonight and decide later.
Materials
Septum jewellery is worn in the wettest, warmest spot on the face, so the metal matters. Implant grade ASTM F-136 titanium, polished or PVD coated, is the choice for a fresh or sensitive septum. Brass and surgical steel rings are for a healed piercing and bring the warm tones and antique finishes titanium cannot. Every product lists its material, and the filter lets you shop by it.
