Bridge piercing jewellery for the horizontal piercing across the bridge of the nose, between the eyes. A bridge is a surface piercing, so it takes a straight barbell long enough to span the bridge with both ends sitting flat against the skin.
Bridge bars
Straight barbells of 12mm to 16mm cover most bridge piercings; your piercer will have fitted a longer bar to allow for swelling, and most people downsize once healed. Ball ends are the standard fit. Flat discs sit lower and are less likely to catch on glasses, while spikes, cones and gem ends make the piercing the centrepiece of the face.
Bridge piercings and glasses
If you wear glasses, choose a bar that lets the ends sit above or below the frame rather than on it. Low profile disc or small ball ends are the usual answer.
Sizing and materials
Bridge piercings are 1.6mm (14g) as standard, with some at 1.2mm (16g). Jewellery is implant grade ASTM F-136 titanium or solid 14k gold.
