Forward helix piercing jewellery - gold rings and studs on the front of the ear

Forward Helix Piercing

Empty collection

Forward helix earrings for the front of the ear, where the rim meets the head above the tragus. The forward helix is a small, tight spot, so the jewellery is small too: short bars, tiny tops and neat little hoops.

Forward helix studs

Flat back forward helix studs are the usual choice. A 6mm bar suits most healed piercings, with 5mm for very slim ears and 8mm while a fresh piercing settles. Tops of 2mm to 3mm look right; anything larger crowds the fold of the ear. Double and triple forward helix sets are sold as matching trios, or as a gem, ball and disc combination.

Forward helix hoops

Forward helix hoop earrings need a small diameter, usually 6mm, so the ring follows the curve of the rim. Seamless rings and hinged clickers both work once the piercing has healed.

Sizing and materials

Forward helix piercings are 1.2mm (16g) or 1mm (18g). Jewellery is implant grade ASTM F-136 titanium or solid 14k gold.
